Party at the Beach turns a simple day by the ocean into one big summer celebration.

Carl Thorns combines the swing and vocal harmonies of classic 1950s Doo-Wop with punchy 1990s Boom-Bap drums, fast Boogie-Woogie piano and a warm, bouncing bassline. Handclaps, saxophone fills and layered backing vocals give the track the feeling of an old-school beach party colliding with a modern hip-hop jam.

The verses ride a relaxed head-nod groove before accelerating into tightly packed internal rhymes and energetic double-time passages. Meanwhile, the chorus opens everything up with bright call-and-response vocals designed to sound like the whole beach has joined in.
